Prerequisite, Role and benefits of membership
Anyone with an interest in health economics research is welcome to join HERN. Its target audience is the global academic and scholarly community, including faculty, staff, students, teachers, researchers, policymakers, practitioners, journalists, caregivers, and other stakeholders. The HERN will encourage peer communities to connect offline and online, and share their findings.
Membership Benefits
- Opportunity of joining and participating in a global network of health economics researchers
- Opportunity of being listed as a health economics expert, increased exposure, and potential for media interaction, collaboration, and consultation
- Receiving invitations on a regular basis from the HERN and its allied organizations to participate in training, workshops, conferences, and policy brief distributions both offline and online.
- Getting email-based quarterly newsletters on HERN activities
- Opportunity to participate in and lead knowledge communities and specialized groups
- Will get access to publish different write-ups, blogs, articles etc. on the website of the network after getting approval from the HERN administration
- Student members will get the opportunity to volunteer services for different events (where necessary) as proposed by the HERN administration
General Member:
Any individual who has masters/4 years bachelor degree in economics/Health economics/Environmental Economics or who has masters/4 years bachelor degree from other disciplines but working in the field of health economics/public health will eligible to be a general member of the network.
Student Member:
Any person who is currently pursuing a masters or bachelors program in Economics/Health economics/Environmental Economics/development economics will be eligible to be a student member of the network.The applicant for student membership must submit the membership form (available on the website) with the proof of student identity issued by their respective institution either by email or by fulfilling the online form
Guest Member:
Any person who is currently working in the field of health economics/ health sector locally or globally and not applied for membership category 1 and 2 in will eligible to be a guest member of the network.
Institutional member:
With the consent of the HERN administration any government, semi-government, academic institute, research institute or private organization can be an institutional member of the network
Cancellation of the membership:
- Any violation of interest of HERN will automatically cancel the membership.
- The HERN administration will take decisions on the basis of complaint and investigation
